BY THE EARLY 1930S, THE PARK CONTAINED A TREE GROVE, SWIMMING POOL, HALF MILE REGULATION RACE TRACK, ATHLETIC GROUNDS AND SEVERAL BUILDINGS. THE PARK WAS FURTHER EXPANDED BEGINNING IN 1935 WITH THE CONSTRUCTION OF PICNIC FACILITIES. |
